Our church leaders have been meeting weekly to pray, plan and attempt to care for the church fellowship during these challenging times. As the State of Maine presented the re-opening plan, churches are slated to be open for gatherings of 50. The church leadership has been working through how we could make gathering together a reality and desire your input.
At this time here are a few of the plans.
1. Having a morning and an evening service, if necessary (to allow for proper distancing). We would be live-streaming one of these services.
2. At first, we would only have services; no Sunday School, coffee fellowship, Nursery or Children's Church. (and sorry, but please bring your own mints)
3. The doors will be opened for you.
4. Seating would be moved to allow for proper distancing.
5. Seats would be disinfected after each service.
6. Bibles, Hymnals and papers from chairs would be removed. Folks would be encouraged to bring their own Bibles and anything for corporate worship would be on the screen.
7. Offering would continue to be collected in the offering box at the entrance to the Sanctuary.
8. There would be clear directions on how to enter and exit your seat and the building.
9. We would encourage folks to use their bathroom at home before they come. The church bathrooms will be open for emergencies and will be cleaned between each use.
During this difficult time we will do our best to love our neighbors and respect each other.
- Masks would be encouraged.
- Those who are "at risk" would be encouraged to stay home.
- We would ask that we forgo handshaking and hugs.
Let us know how comfortable you/your family would be to join together in worship through the brief survey below.
